Strawberry Acres Park

This is the first time Jonah was able to sit on a big boy swing all by himself. Still not able to make himself go, but this is a huge step!
(this was in March...out of sequence, sorry)

Jonah's New Swingset

With ALOT of hardwork and help, John was able to put the singset back together. It made the long journey from the Shearman's house in Haskins, Ohio to our house in Sylvania, Ohio. Jonah is so happy to have his own playground!!

Daddy's "Head Hat" and glasses

Jonah loves to imitate his Dad. John always lets him use his tools and wear his safety equipment. He is so observant and he knows how to use all of the tools as they are intended...he tries to take apart anything he can get his hands on.

Great Great Grandma B.

Jonah had alot of fun visiting his "B". He colored her some pictures and we watched the birds fly around their cages. We always enjoy our visits and we are so lucky to have her in our lives. It is amazing that they are alost exactly 100 years apart in age. She will be 103 on April 28th and he will be 3 in August. What an amazing thought!

You have a little something on your face...

Aunt Stephanie brought Superman Ice Cream for the boys, they loved smearing it all over their faces.

Never trust a Handyman who doesn't wear pants!

Jonah's Version of the ABC's

It took a few tries, but I was finally able to get Jonah to sing his ABC's for the camera. It is so cut to hear a 2.5 year old's pronunciation of the L-M-N-O-P part. I also find it funny that he has to sit on the floor and tap his legs like they do in school in order to keep time.

Vintage Fun

At Jonah's school, they had a photographer come to take these pictures. The kids got to dress up and choose a prop to sit with. My dad says we need to call him "Spanky."

Where are my legs?

During our last major amount of snow I was busy running the snow blower while Jonah played. When I came around the corner I saw Jonah waist deep in the snow and all he could say is, "Momma, I stuck!"

Nap Time

Jonah is out of his crib and is transitioning to his "big boy bed". He has not been sleeping through the night (since November 22nd, not that I'm counting) so we thought a change of scenery would help, but so far it hasn't worked. He get up still between 2 and 4 a.m. every night and comes to wake us up so one of us goes to sleep with him. We find this to be the only way we can get sleep. He falls asleep well, we read books and when his limit of 3 books is up, we flips through and reads them to himself until he passes out.

Jungle Java

Aunt Stephanie heard about this place called Jungle Java in Ann Arbor, MI. Our families decided to go one weeked to check it out. When we arrived there was only a few parking spaces left which meant it was going to be CROWDED, and it was!! It is a very fun concept with larger than life a jungle gym and a cafe for parents (NOT quite and relaxing!!) it was a great time for the kids. I recommed going during the week to avoid the crowds.

Who is that masked man?

John took Jonah for a spin on the snow mobile around Colwater Lake. It would have been more fun if the wind chill would not have been so frigid. I think Jonah prefers the jet-ski!

The Annual Pokagon Weekend

The Mann/Reichert families have been going to the Potowatomi Inn in the Pokagon State Park for over 32 years. We have been going the same weekend every year and we pretty much have the same agenda each year too. This is something that we all look forward to every winter and it is something to turn the dull days of winter into a fun filled weekend. This was Jonah's 3rd trip and for him and he had a wonderful time.

Fun Times

Jonah had a great time swimming, coloring, playing games, going to the nature center, playing in the snow, etc. This year he was able to get involved with more activities and he had a great time.

Mann/Reichert Game Night

Riley was very generous with her games. She and Jonah had so much fun together, they are now actually old enough to interact, it was so cute!

Swimming in January

Jonah and Madeline spent what seemed like hours swimming in the pool at the Potowatomi Inn. It is pretty funny swimming past the windows and seein all of the snow while you are in the water.

Sledding Fun!

We are lucky enough to have a sledding hill across the street. Jonah, Alex and Ben were happy to try it out!

James Meade Learning Center

Jonah has been a part of JMLC since he was 12 onths old and they have taken such great care of him. Ms. Violet was the first person outside of the family to care for him and she has taken the role of Jonah's 3rd Grandmother. She retired this year and we are very sad to see her go. With her help I was able to learn to trust others to care for my most precious gift...Jonah!

Here is Jonah with some of his "classmates". I don't know what Jonah is thinking while looking at Sarah but it is priceless.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

I took this picture on the morning of the 1st. It is adorable seing him wear John's hat.

CHEERS!!

Auntie Loris and Uncle Matt spent the night for New Years Eve. We had a great time visiting and Jonah loved playing hide and go seek with Uncle Matt. Auntie Lori and Jonah helped to "christen" the bar..."CHEERS!" (with his juice box in hand)
