Hard to believe Fall is here! Jonah is 6 and he started 1st Grade at Highland Elementary in Sylvania and he loves it. Jacoby is 8 months and is at JMLC following in his big brother's footsteps. They are growing up so fast!! He is crawling like crazy and pulling up on furniture, oh boy!
Laughter is the BEST Medicine
There is no better sight when you wake up in the morning!! Well I guess that there is no better way to unwind from a long day at work either!
Sitting Pretty
Jonah has now mastered the art of sitting up without our help. Thanks to the size of his thighs he is very stable! He loves to sit and play with his toys and watch his doggies chase each other around the house. That ring toy has survived his cousins Alex and Ben and now he is enjoying it, thanks cousins!
A Peaceful Night!
This picture is from the night of the "blizzard". Jonah we to bed in his room and fell asleep all by himself. Well, no really all be himself, he had his little bee to suggle with. This was only the 5th time he slept throught the night and he stayed in that position all night! I hope this is a good sign for the nights to come.

Future Nascar Driver
Jonah loves this car that Aunt Kristen and Uncle Mike bought for him. He plays with the radio, honks the horn, starts the car, talks on the phone and jumps like a wild man. He looks a Little to happy to be behind the wheel already! As you can tell, he looks a little large for six months of age. Well, the camera is not lying, at his 6 month visit he tipped the scales at 24.8 pounds. Needless to say, he is off the growth charts! We are now cutting down on the formula and giving him fruit/veggies three times a day and almost 1/3 or the bottles he used to drink. He is doing great and his mood has improved tremendously!!
I'll do it MYSELF!
In January, Jonah decided that he would start holding his own bottle from now on. He realized that he can control how much he eats and when he eats.
Let me tell you, he has quite a grip and needless to say we can no longer burp him in the middle of bottle time. His little knuckles turn white because he is grabbing it so tight
Christmas Memories
5 Months Old
In this photo Jonah is 5 months old. What a ham!! He is very excited for Santa to come and visit him. He can finally say that he is being a good boy!
"Dinner Time"
Jonah is finally used to eating his cereal and fruits. He loves the pears the most. I think he enjoys wearing more of it that eating it though.
"Little Gobbler"
Jonah enjoyed his first Thanksgiving. He has finally conquered the colic!! There are many more moments of happiness and smiles. We still suffer from insomnia so days, but things are sooooo much better.
After 16 weeks, we finally have the cute, happy little boy we have always dreamed of.
"Go Blue"
Jonah is getting prepared for the big game that will be here soon. Due to the influence of his Uncle Mike and Aunt Kristen he will be sporting his Michigan Gear. Well maybe he will change at half time to support his Godfather, Uncle Eric's Buckeyes so he doesn't show favorites. The poor child is going to be confused when he grows up.
Cute Cousins
Jonah loves his cousins. Alexander is 3 years old and Benjamin is 16 months. Can you imagine what sorts of trouble they will be getting into next year? It is kind of scary, but Jonah looks almost as big as Ben already.
Little Tigger
Thanks to cousin Ben, Jonah has a cute hand-me-down costume. Tigger never looked so cute!! We took advantage of the beautiful weather and had a great photo shoot on the porch with the pumpkins and the straw.
Happy Halloween
All Dressed Up
Jonah looked so handsome in his Christening outfit. He wore the little tuxedo, white shoes with crosses on them from John and I. He has a necklace from Aunt Kristen and Uncle Mike He also had a cross pin and a white blanket from Antie Lori. He almost grew out of it before he wore it!
Jonah's Baptism
On October 22 Jonah had his Baptism. He slept through the entire mass and even the actual Baptism. The only time he began to cry was when we wanted to take pictures.
We hope that this might help to "cure" his colic, we'll see.
My Little Man
My little boy is growing so fast, he is looking more like my little man. He is holding his head up very well and he loves to try and roll over from his belly to his back, which he does successfully sometimes. I can't believe he is over two months old already.
Erie Orchard
What a fun day at the Orchard. Jonah had a great first time picking apples. Well, he slept most of the time but, it made our time more enjoyable. He looked so cute in his Osh Kosh overalls!

It is hard to believe he is two months old already. We had a great time today taking pictures after his bath. I think he likes to be naked!
Big Boy
All of a sudden our little boy has turned into a 12 pound little man. He really loves to eat and eat.
Time is going by too fast. He no longer is a tiny little fragile infant, he is a bruiser!
Looking at this face helps me to deal with the fact we only have an hour a day of happiness when the colic is at bay. He still doesn't know how to sleep for more than an hour at a time on average.
My Favorite Toy
Here is Jonah with his new favorite toy (thanks Aunt Lori). It is a perfect toy for him since he had the nickname Glow Worm during his jaundice treatment. The music puts him right to sleep (sometimes!).
Devil's Lake
Here is Jonah enjoying his time at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's cottage at Devil's Lake. He was so excited to go for another pontoon boat ride he loves to be on the move. We had a great visit with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Mike, Aunt Kristen and Aunt Lori.
Labor Day
Here is Jonah on his first boat ride, outside my belly. We were finally able to go up to Coldwater Lake for the weekend and it was great! He enjoyed sitting by the camp fire, roasting marshmallows with me and riding on the pontoon boat. I think he remembers doing all of those things in utero because we did them almost every weekend. Along with eating ice cream and swimming (he hasn't gone swimming yet though) In fact, at the lake he has the nick name Smore Zesto. (Zesto is the name of an ice cream place that we eat at every summer in Angola with our friends Mandi and Bryon.) We are looking forward to next year when he'll be able to play with his cousin's Alex and Ben. It is going to be so much fun!
"WAHHHH!"
Everything was great for almost three weeks and now Jonah has developed colic. We both could be wearing that hat! (compliments of Aunt Lori) Dr. Sue gave me good news...it does end! However, not for at least threee more weeks, UGH! I have been told by both my parents and my in-laws that we are (I am) getting paid back for John and I as babies. I guess we weren't easy to deal with either.
"Going Bye-Bye"
Jonah loves to go for car rides, especially in Mom's RX-8. He loves the way she drives so fast, it puts him to sleep. (Don't worry, I am a very careful driver.) I have a feeling, he is going to love cars and racing just like his Daddy.
Family Photo
Even though it looks like Jonah is having a bad time, we really were having a blast. This photo was taken at "Aunt" Kim's wedding. Jonah is the reason I was not able to be in the wedding and I was named and honorary bridesmaid. The wedding was August 19th and he was originally due on the 20th so I had to back out. Little did I know he had other planned for me.

Five Generations
Jonah is so lucky to be part of 5 generations. There is his Great Great Grandma Belair,
Great Grandma Mann, Grandma Maggy (Meyers), Mom and him. It is truly a blessing! There is quite a legacy surrounding him. Jonah has 1 Great Great Grandma, 2 Great Grandma's, 3 Great Grandpa's, 2 Grandma's, and 2 Grandpa's. We can't forget his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many other family member too numerous to count.
"Glow Worm"
For five days after coming home from the hospital, Jonah had a severe case of jaundice. He turned a lovely shade of pumpkin and the had to be turned into a glow worm to be returned to a normal color.
There was a fiber optic pad that was attached to a machine with a three foot cord. He had to have it on at all times unless he was getting changed or bathed. You can imagine how much fun it would be to maneuver around the house. We were visited every day by a nurse named Bridget and she had to draw his blood (out of his heel). That experience is something I would love to forget. Thank God we did not have to leave him in the hospital, but we are glad it is over just the same.
It's Bath Time!
Jonah loves his baths. We enjoy watching his expressions as he relaxes in the warm water.
"Precious Little Boy"
Jonah is such a little cutie. He surprised us all with a full head a dark hair that was accented with a lovely colic right in the center of the hairline on his forehead. I can't wait to see what type of hairstyle he will have to get in the future. When looking at his hospital photo, one would have guessed that his parents were of Hispanic descent and not Caucasian ( not that there is anything wrong with that). Thanks to the Meyers' family genetics he has very large feet and "monkey toes" like his Mom, with the long fingers to match. It also seems that he has his mom's lips. As far as his eye color goes we'll just have to wait and see. From his Dad he has received the cute little nose and his eyes. As the days go by he looks more and more like his Daddy.
"He's Here!"
After almost four years of waiting for a baby we have been blessed with a beautiful son. His name is Jonah John Miligan. On August 4, 2006 he came screaming into the world at 11:00 a.m. Jonah weighed in at 6 lbs. 15 oz. and measured 21 inches in length. He is a dream come true for both John and I. We can't believe that after 10 years with just the two of us, we are finally proud parents. It is truly a miracle!
