A Proud Day

Today was one of the most rewarding days I have had in a long time. I was so lucky to be able to spend the afternoon with Jonah at his school. I read the kids stories, played outside with them and helped to make "scary hands" (popcorn and candy corn in gloves). It was so cool watching how Jonah interacts with his friends and I was amazed at what a great group of kids they have there. They all play very well together and Miss Debbie seems to have a handle on their every move.
I never am able to stay and visit due to my work schedule so I jumped at the opportunity to do so today. It is a weird feeling but today I really felt like I was looking in on his secret life. We never know how he really acts with everyone there but it is obvious that he is quite a popular little boy!

The Excitement Builds...

Jonah was so excited all day just waiting to go out and Trick or Treat! He was so happy to be putting his costume on and hamming it up for the camera. How can you resist this face?

Off We GO!

John took Jonah through the neighborhood and they had so much fun. Jonah did really well with saying "trick or treat!" and "Thank you!". We are so lucky to live in a neighborhood that has so many kids that participate in Halloween.

The Loot

Jonah had a very successful trip around the nieghborhood. He filled up his bucket and only ate one piece of candy tonight. He was more interested in running around and watching the other kids than actually eating the candy. (His Hygienist Mommy taught him well!)

Yucky Gross!!

Jonah was not a fan of the texture of the seeds and the pulp. I really tried to get him interested in it but I was not very successful.

Our Punkins!

Monkey See...

Since Jonah will not see Great Great Grandma B. on Halloween, we wanted her to have a chance to see his costume. She was just chuckling watching him run around acting like a Monkey.

Story Time with "B"

Jonah loves his Great Great Grandma B. or just "B". He looks at her with such loving eyes, it is obvious that they have a very special connection. Every morning he looks at her picture in his frame and tells me, "That's B, Mommy!" They are 101 years apart but you would never know it. Grandma teases his and plays with him just as I remember from when I was little. She is so amazing and Jonah is so lucky that he has been able to spend so much time bonding with her! Actually, we are all blessed to have such a magnificent woman in our lives!

BATMAN!!!

Jonah has developed an obsession with Batman and we have no idea how he even knows anything about the character. I think that all boys just know every superhero from birth! In case you are wondering...he is flexing his muscles and showing off his cape.

Poor Baby Boy!

Jonah has been fighting his virus for 5 days now. The hives have gone down since this picture but, he is still having trouble walking due to the swelling in his ankles. Now, my already big boy is swollen and taking more steroids...just what he needs! It is hard to see our usually active, fun boy turned into a quite floor/chair bound infant.

BATMAN!

Our Beautiful Butterflies

Crazy Corn Maze

We went out to the Butterfly House in Whitehouse, Ohio with the Talberts. John was the draft horse elected to drag the wagon through the mazes. The boys laughed and shouted, "Faster!" over and over. Stephanie (pushing Nicholas in the stroller), Eric and I followed behind and enjoyed the relaxing walk and the BEAUTIFUL weather! (it was 83 degrees on October 12th)

Curious George

Along with Stephanie, Alex, Ben, Nicholas and Boppa we went to Barnes and Noble to meet Curious George. The kids were read two stories and then George made his appearance. Alex was the only one who embraced George. Jonah and Ben tried to stay far away.

Line 'em up!

Jonah has started to line his toys up. He is so proud of what he does and will smile away as you stare in awe of his talent.

"Heaby" Lifting

At our second annual trip to Gust Brothers pumpkin farm, Jonah ran right to the little wheel barrows and took off running through the rows of pumpkins. He says, "I wanna punkin Momma...it HEABY...I push it...UGH...HEABY!"

Swinging Good Time

Our friend Bella just happened to come to the farm the same time as us. Jonah was watching her every move to copy whatever she was doing.
We love it when Bella and her mommy Alison come over to Aunt Lindsey's house because she just happens to be our neighbor. Jonah and Bella exchange a few smiles through the fence, they are still both a little shy but they are warming up to each other.
Not only did we see them but Aunt Barbara, uncle Rick and Billy were there too!! What a small world!

Future Farmer

Jonah loved the animals at the farm. He is drawn to the bigger animals and is scared of the little ones. He ran right up to some black Angus steer and was nervous around the little pigs. He was petting the nose of the mommy cow (pictured below), she was so sweet. The sheep were singing their baa, baa song and Jonah was talking right back to them.

Oh, What a Night!

As you all know by now, it is VERY hard to get jonah to sleep. To get settled, he needs: his little "pello", "quack-quack", George the monkey, Thomas blankie, Rudy, "Cowmo" and Momma. It was a little hot being on the bottom of the pile but, I love cuddling with my boy.

School Photos

Jonah had his photos at Daycare. They turned out so cute, it is hard to believe that he is only 2 by looking at his pictures. He looks so grown up!
I just noticed that this shirt is the same shirt he wore at the orchard too! Don't worry, he does have enough clothes, he has actually only wore it twice.

Erie Orchard

This is the Mann/Meyers families' annual trip to Erie Orchards and Cider Mill, in Erie Michigan. We always go for Lori's birthday weekend, and the weather has been gorgeous for the last few years, we have lucked out. Jonah was actually able to eat the apples and the whole apple in fact. (If we weren't watching he would even eat the stem and core!)

I love my Aah-Oarie!

Jonah's 3rd Orchard Trip!

This is our third family portrait at the orchard. It is so cute to look back at his first visit and see how he has grown.

Olivia and Apples

Do these photos look similar to you?

Jonah and Olivia loved to pick apples, eat a bite and the pick another one. They were so cute wiping off the apples on their pants, just as they have seen us do before we give them one to eat.
